Proper Taco and Allied Group Fitness To Take Part In MYPros Community Crowdfund in 2024
The Midland Young Professionals (MYPros) are excited to announce Proper Taco and Allied Group Fitness are beneficiaries of the 2024 MYPros Community Crowdfund.
Proper Taco and Allied Group Fitness have until May 3rd to raise $10,000 each through the Michigan-based crowdfunding platform Patronicity. Once the $10,000 goal has been met, they will receive $20,000 in additional funds from the Midland Business Alliance, thanks to a gift from the Midland Area Community Foundation's Impact Investing Committee.
"Supporting the retention and expansion of local businesses is essential to a thriving community," said Marybeth Penkala, MYPros Crowdfunding Committee Co-Chair. "We're excited to uplift the work of Proper Taco and Allied Group Fitness as they look to enhance their offerings."
Through 2023, over $150,000 in total community impact has been eclipsed due to the MYPros Community Crowdfund. Prior beneficiaries of campaigns are Pizza Baker, Aviator Cookie Company, Aster, Grove Tea Lounge, Three Bridges Distillery & Taproom, and Nor'East Outdoors.
Donations will significantly impact both businesses. Proper Taco plans to purchase a second mobile vehicle to serve food. Like their current food truck, Gladys, this vehicle will also be named Bruce. Allied Group Fitness plans to use funds to purchase new equipment, expand services, and increase its community impact.
