Saginaw Art Museum & Gardens Expands the Arts For All Program in Partnership with the Midland County Educational Service Agency

The Saginaw Art Museum & Gardens, in cooperation with the Midland County Educational Service Agency, is expanding the museum’s Arts for All program to include students serviced by the Midland County ESA.

Through the initiative, students across Midland County become Saginaw Art Museum & Garden’s members and can access the museum for free with their accompanying adult guests. In addition to the program's membership benefits, the Saginaw Art Museum & Gardens is providing fee-free field trips to schools targeting specific focus areas, including Visual Arts and English Language Arts. To support the field trips, the Saginaw Art Museum & Gardens will be able to provide limited reimbursement funding to help cover bus costs for Title 1 Schools during the remainder of the 2024-2025 school year.

"We're thrilled to continue breaking down barriers to accessing the Saginaw Art Museum & Gardens. Our goal is to inspire a lifelong love of art and help students develop a deeper appreciation for the value art brings to the community and beyond. With its extensive reach across school districts, the Midland County ESA is the perfect partner to help extend this program throughout the Great Lakes Bay Region," says Thor Rasmussen, Associate Director at the museum.

Midland County ESA Superintendent John Searles states, “Joining the Arts for All program aligns directly with our mission of collaboration with the community at large and helping students reach their potential. We are excited by the opportunity this program brings to our students and look forward to our schools being a part of this initiative.”

The Midland County ESA serves the following districts:

  • Bullock Creek School District

  • Coleman Community Schools

  • Meridian Public Schools

  • Midland Public Schools

  • Windover High School

  • The Academic and Career Education Academy

  • Private and Parochial schools in Midland County

Midland County ESA will join the Saginaw Intermediate School District which has been involved in the Arts for All program since its inception in 2023. More details about the Arts for All program can be found on the museum’s website.

The Arts for All program is made possible through the generous support of the Dow Company Foundation, The Herbert H. and Grace A. Dow Foundation, The Rollin M. Gerstacker Foundation, Hemlock Semiconductor, the William F. McNally Family Foundation, the Margaret Jane Stoker Charitable Trust administered by Huntington Bank and the Harvey Randall Wickes Foundation.
