The ROCK Center for Youth Development Announces New Afterschool Program at Delta College
The ROCK Center for Youth Development is thrilled to announce the launch of a groundbreaking new afterschool program in partnership with Delta College. Starting January 6, 2025, this innovative program will serve students aged 11 to 18 from the Great Lakes Bay Region, offering a safe and enriching space for youth during evening hours.
The program, which aligns with The ROCK’s mission to build hope and resilience in youth, is designed to lower barriers for families pursuing academic and vocational goals. Through this collaboration, students will have access to Delta’s exceptional facilities and educational opportunities, as well as a robust afterschool curriculum led by highly trained ROCK staff.
Highlights of the program include:
Start Date: January 6, 2025
Hours of Operation: 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM
Eligibility: Students aged 11 to 18
Features: State-licensed program, CPR- and First Aid-certified staff
Activities including academic support, arts, and career exploration
This partnership builds on the success of summer camps held at Delta College, where students experienced a wide range of activities, from swimming lessons and art classes to tours of vocational labs and time in Delta’s theater. These programs showcased Delta’s commitment to creating meaningful, hands-on learning opportunities for local youth.

In efforts to break down transportation barriers, The ROCK is seeking partnerships to help with this effort.
